Music

Introduction
Music is the most effective tool for ECPC-territorialism.

Types of Music
I divide music into two types:
"Tejp": Music that revolves around moduses, beats, harmonies, improvisation, repeating motifs, moduses are in focus, not melodies, you generally make this at a DAW
"Sånger": Music that revolves around melody + chord accompaniment, you avoid improvisation in this genre, you write this with a guitar and some sheet music paper outside like a true trubadur.
Then there are further subtypes:
* Celebration:
* Perception Celebration:
* ECPC Celebration:
I am quite obsessed with meaning in everything, so I will write out what type of song a song is when I write a song.
I label all my tracks as being either "Sång" or "Tejp" because I like structure and order.

"Tejp"
* Modus, modus-alt, intro, outro, ABAC, ABC, ABA, linear
* Loops, lots and lots of loops
* Polytempos
* Polysongs
* Arythm
* sample-sharing
* I would argue that beat-music, with it's flipping on and off of different tracks is really just an extension of tapes.

"Sånger"
* Start with some modus to write the melody to.
* Improvisera gärna verser, men håll refrängen samma
* Ofta så har jag bara en refräng, o vers o andra delar hittar jag typ på
* Write a melody over it.
* Add parts.

Minimal Notation
Starting out your piece writing with an emotion in mind is a really good idea.
I prefer minimal notation but sometimes make more exact notation.
I do not like to mix the two, I think it makes the sheet music ugly, I make two versions, one for umusical people and one for musical people.
"Slow, Dramatic"
"Marsch, Pompous"
"Fast and elegant, like a small bird"
"Walking, Romantic and Broad"
"Planet Slow"
"Like a train without breaks, steady speed, Full Force"
Also,
I avoid using extreme dynamics unless I really want that effect.
pp is hard to even hear.
FF and your ear starts to really hurt and the instrument starts to sound pushed.
p and F are fine.

Chords I Like
* Fmaj7/Aadd6
* Ebsusadd2add10
* Cadd9/E
* Bm7-5

Level Mixing
!!!Distinguish between "loud" & "quiet" and "front" & "back"!!!
When talking about level mixing we tend to not use "loud" and "quiet" but "front" and "back"
Do I want the guitar right infront of me? or in the back? not "loud" or "quiet"
When talking about "loud" and "quiet" in this context you are talking more about timbre than volume.
I often make something called a band layout chart.
It is just a chart with all the musicians/instruments/sounds positioned relative to the listener.
I try to get the position changes through the song on one chart.
Level Mix Types:
* Pop/punch mix = Front Vox/Lead, Front Drums, Front Bass
* BG-VGM/light/mono-mic mix = Front Bass, Back everything else

Tools
HIFI SETUP:
DO NOT TRY TO MAKE ART AND MUSIC ON BAD GEAR, IT WILL SUCK NO MATTER WHAT!
* Monitor Speakers
* Subwoofer(I hate setups without subwoofers/bass, sounds so empty and dry
I once had a setup with two treble/mid monitors for a bunch of months and wondered why all music sounds like shit then I bought a subwoofer and thought wow shit I am stupid and wow music actually sounds good now.
I went from listening to nothing to listening to everything.
Music can not really be epic if it is just scratch treble.
When I got a proper music setup I realised music can affect people's emotions.
Good music setup = everything.
Holy sh*t, I just feel so stupid for not having bass before, I have listened to music without body for so f*cking long.
Why has no one told me!?

The E-Composer genre started growing in the late 80s and originally revolved around sharing around MIDI/Tracker files.
The genre grew over time as web culture grew and shows no sign of stopping, it will probably just get bigger and bigger.
The genre revolves around one person(with maybe a friend or two) making music using their computer at home. A very homegrown sound.
Music made by coders.

Men's love for Tape Music
Tape music, music in which moduses are in focuses, not melodies are the genre for men.
It is accessible and social, whereas songs are too prestige.
Men prefer music that is social over music that is prestige.
Tejp has that wolf cry quality men seek in music.
I like to do songs as well, but tejp is number one.
When men do music it is about emotions and communication, when women do music it is about prestige and display of understanding of sociocultural rules.

* Första killen man hittar som kan skriva noter skriver musiken(all musik e citat med ändrad titel och random *ss ändringar i ackord och melodi)
* Fem närmsta musikerna(man spelar in dem tre gånger så man får en orkester, och så har man för mycket bas, man hade inte råd med kontrabas så någon duttar fult på en elbas)
* Fem närmsta instrumenten(trashat piano, trashad gitarr, trash stråk, man hitta något skit på blocket/vinden)
* En random ass f*ck skitig synth(obligatoriskt)
* en skitig mikrofon för allt
* Mest obalaserade j*vla mixen som e möjlig, helst ska basen ska strong som f*n
